Marquis Childers Jr.
Marquis Childers Jr is a community engagement specialist and business owner in Muskegon County, Michigan. His community engagement includes place-based work and building community through social cohesion. He is also the first African American small wine maker in Muskegon County, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Recreation Management. Childers is the Vice President of the Neighborhood Associations of Michigan and sits on several committees, including the Muskegon Heights Optimist Club and Coalition for Community Development.
A'Yonna Ray
A’Yonna, from Muskegon, is the Community Engagement Coordinator for Muskegon CHIR via Access Health. She focuses on community outreach, leading initiatives like the West Michigan Blueprint Project and Livability Lab. With a nursing background from Ferris State University, she is pursuing an RN degree at Muskegon Community College. A’Yonna holds executive and volunteering roles on the Muskegon Heights Neighborhood Association Council and Coalition for Community Development.
